Career & College
The Standley Lake High School Counseling Department will be hosting college and university representatives through the virtual platform as well as some in-person visits.
College Rep Visits
Participating in college rep visits is an awesome opportunity to learn more about a college or university that interests you and also to leave an impression on that visiting rep.
Want to be notified when a university or college will be visiting SLHS? By adding a specific institution to your Naviance account under “Colleges” > “Colleges I'm Thinking About,” you will automatically be notified if and when that institution registers for a virtual visit at SLHS.
The instructions below walk you through how to sign up to see a college rep through Naviance.
Log in to your Naviance account via Clever using your Jeffco username (ID number) and password.
-
Click on the “Colleges” tab located on the top right side of the page
-
Click on the “Research Colleges” tab
-
Click on “College Visits” tab
-
Click on “Sign Up”
-
Click “Sign Me Up” and you’re done
Students must sign up for a visit to receive either a registration link or the link to join. Links will not be provided until 15 minutes before the scheduled visit. Students must sign up.
Please sign up only for the colleges you are considering. Make sure you check the rep signup list regularly, as it continuously updates as college reps register. The most up-to-date list can be found in Naviance.

Career & College Pathways in Jeffco
Career and college pathways are a series of educational opportunities that enable students to pursue careers, college and interests after high school. Career and college readiness is a Jeffco Public Schools graduation requirement and is increasingly important, as three out of every four jobs now require education or training beyond high school.
It’s important for students to talk with their families, teachers and school counselors throughout high school as career interests emerge and develop, and to explore different college and career pathways.
