Concurrent Enrollment

Registration

Students who have signed up for a concurrent enrollment course for the 2023-24 school year will need to complete the steps to register for the college credit through Red Rocks Community College (RRCC).

  1. Apply to RRCC (Keep track of your student ID number (SNumber) when you receive it, you will need it later.
  2. Meet the prerequisites (SAT, PSAT, high school grades, Accuplacer or RRCC self-assessment). See the prerequisite matrix.
  3. Links for Self-Guided Assessments – English (Comp and Lit)

Students do not need to enroll in the course on the RRCC side; once you complete these three steps, you are done. The final step of enrolling in the Red Rocks course will be completed by the RRCC High School Relations office

  • What’s next? What do you do with your earned RRCC credit? How do you transfer it to other schools?

Concurrent Enrollment in Jeffco

Concurrent enrollment allows students to enroll and earn college credits while still in high school. Jeffco Public Schools students in grades 9-12 can enroll in their home high school and in a community college within the home school service area. Concurrent enrollment benefits students by:

  • Lowering the cost of college.
  • Increasing the flexibility of academic options.
  • Increasing access to college coursework.
  • Preparing students for college.
